The places we call home never leave our heart

Got a phone call from my sister in South Carolina the other day. She said the old home place had been hit by lightning during a thunderstorm, and by the time the rural Hopkins Volunteer Fire Department got there the old house was just a heap of ashes. And I do mean old.
