Railroad gets security inspection
Government agents check excursion train, mingle with crowd

Ron Sparks, chief of railroad police with the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad, inspects railroad cars along with Transportation Security Administration surface inspectors Wednesday morning at the Springdale train depot. The administration’s law enforcement team conducted the inspection prior to the passenger train’s departure to Van Buren.
Transportation Security Administration inspectors searched Arkansas & Missouri Railroad cars Wednesday as part of a national program to protect mass transit.
