100 YEARS AGO Oct. 28, 1909 Unless the Penitentiary Board comes to the aid of the general revenue fund and pays back a part of the $98,000 borrowed from that fund by act of the last legislature, the general revenue fund will possess about $8,000 by November 10, according to estimates made in the state treasurer’s office, where it was stated there was about $68,000 to the credit of the general revenue fund when the books were closed yesterday afternoon.
