Out of the shadows : Haydar, Cochran expected to shoulder more responsibility

The production of allstate Bulldogs Fred Gulley and Cable Hogue accounted for 43 percent of Fayetteville’s scoring and 40 percent of its rebounding during last season’s 30-0, state championship season.
Their graduation left a void in the stat sheet. The responsibility of filling the gap falls primarily on senior guards Kikko Haydar and Taylor Cochran, both of whom garnered all-state selections last year. They were integral members of a team that finished eighth in Sports Illustrated’s national poll and 18th in the USA Today Super 25 Index. Now they’re expected to be the linchpins of the 2009-10 Bulldogs.
