Eight Street extension nearing completion

The extension of Southwest Eighth Street from Southwest I Street to the city’s far west side is slated to open in late December.

Despite light rain falling, crews continued working on the Eighth Street extension westward from its intersection with Southwest I Street in Bentonville.

Drivers who frequent the stretch of Southwest I Street that leads to the Wal-Mart Supercenter here won’t have to wait much longer to use a new east-west road.
