Sen. Lamar Alexander, a Tennessee Republican who once worked in President Richard Nixon’s administration, said the White House appears to be launching a Nixon-like political strategy of making an “enemies list” of people who disagree with the president and warned that such an approach of attacking political opponents “can get you in a lot of trouble.”
