Deal reached for Iran to ship out nuke fuel

Pact involving Russia, France awaits OK

Ali Asghar Soltanieh, Iran’s ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency, said the uranium transfer agreement was “on the right track” but it needed approval from Tehran.

Iranian negotiators said Wednesday that they had tentatively agreed to a deal under which Iran will transfer about three-quarters of its enriched uranium out of the country. If completed, the deal would buy time for a diplomatic solution to the impasse over Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
