Vatican opens door to fed-up Anglicans
It eases conversion rules to take in people upset by gay, women rulings

“The unity of the church does not require a uniformity that ignores cultural diversity, as the history of Christianity shows,” Cardinal William Levada said Tuesday at the Vatican.
The Vatican announced a decision Tuesday to make it easier for Anglicans to convert, reaching out to those who are disaffected by the election of women and homosexual bishops to join the Catholic Church’s conservative ranks.
