1st-year enrollment jumps at UAMS

Medical school among 12 in nation expanding to ease doctor shortage

Arkansas’ only medical school is among 12 nationwide that saw a jump in first-year enrollment this year as medical schools across the country seek to expand their rolls and soften the blow of widespread physician shortages, according to a report released Tuesday by the Association of American Medical Colleges.
