Boris Johnson, mayor of London, took aim at bankers in his weekly column in the Daily Telegraph, comparing them to “a type of cockroach that has scuttled through a nuclear blast of public disapproval” and now finds its pockets “bulging, bursting, ballooning with the biggest bonuses you ever saw.”
