The Rundown : Benton County shrugs as lottery takes off

Does it say anything that the biggest winner of the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery so far is a guy who, on the same day he picked up his $75,000 prize, reported to jail to begin serving time on two sex-offense convictions ? Bad omen, I’d say, for the lottery folks, though maybe the marketing department could spin this into a positive: “The Arkansas Lottery: A better risk than soliciting sex in the park.” So you might be asking: Other than your average creep, who’s buying lottery tickets?
