100 YEARS AGO Oct. 18, 1909 FAYETTEVILLE — A movement has been started among the students of the Arkansas University, and is assuming no small proportion, to do away with the old, out of date expression, “University of Arkansas,” and substitute in its place a modern expression, “Arkansas University,” or some other modern expression, or letters such as “A.U.”
