FROM THE GARDEN : Here is a list of small, attractive, understory trees just in time for fall planting

I’ve often been asked about trees for smaller gardens and ones that offer berries or other fruit, so I’ve compiled this list as a response. All of these trees are 15- to 30-feet tall and either have nice flowers, fruit or fall color. Some of them have all three features. Most, but not all, are native to the United States and some to Arkansas. Many are host plants for butterflies, as well.
