Former President George H.W. Bush said that while he thinks some of the criticism of President Barack Obama “crosses the line of civility,” it doesn’t stem from Obama’s being black and isn’t any worse than what his son suffered from liberal pundits, adding, “They just hammered him mercilessly — and I think obscenely — a lot of the time.”
