100 YEARS AGO Oct. 16, 1909 A new tariff, effective November 18, reducing slightly the passenger rates from Memphis and Arkansas points to Oklahoma, has been filed with the Interstate Commerce Commission by the Rock Island passenger department. The new tariff rearranges the rates on the basis of two and a half cents in Arkansas. The tariff which it replaces was on the basis of three cents in Arkansas.
