Arkansas’ biggest lottery winner to date picked up his $75,000 prize in Little Rock on Tuesday, then surrendered to Sebastian County jailers to begin serving a six-day jail term on two sex-offense convictions.

Joe Pierce, 34, of Van Buren pleaded no contest Oct. 8 in Fort Smith District Court to charges of indecent exposure and loitering, both misdemeanors.

Loitering is defined as lingering or remaining in a public place for the purpose of soliciting sex.

It’s been an eventful week for Pierce and his family. The day before he appeared in district court, his wife, Amanda Pierce, gave birth to their second child, daughter Kinley Jo.
