Senate panel favors health-care bill 14-9

Sen. Olympia Snowe of Maine was the lone Republican to vote Tuesday for the Senate Finance panel’s health-care bill.
The Senate Finance Committee approved its health-care proposal Tuesday with a single Republican joining every Democrat, including Arkansas’ Blanche Lincoln, to reach what President Barack Obama called a “critical milestone” in his signature legislative issue.
