FAYETTEVILLE: Utility rate hearing: Coal plant funding dropped

Most of the people who were organizing to speak against Southwestern Electric Power Co.’s requested rate increase had their chief complaint — that of paying for a coal-fueled plant — negated within the first opening minutes of a Public Service Commission meeting Tuesday.
