The age gap explains it

One of the troubling dynamics behind President Barack Obama’s attempt to overhaul the health care system is the way it has cut along demographic lines. According to a poll by the New York Times and CBS News last month, only 20 percent of people 65 and over support the president’s efforts. Only 31 percent say the federal government should guarantee health insurance for all Americans.
