FAYETTEVILLE The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says a 15-year-old boy died after he was trapped underneath an all-terrain vehicle.
Authorities say Dillon Thurman was reported missing from his west Washington County home Sunday night. His parents and neighbors began looking for him on the 2,000-acre farm and found him underneath a four-wheeler at about 10 p.m.
Authorities believe Dillon was riding down a creek bed with a 60-foot bluff on one side and a four-foot embankment on the other side. Authorities say Dillon rode between a fallen tree and the embankment, but the four-wheeler flipped and pinned him against the tree.
