COMMENTARY: Holliday, Cards can’t part ways yet

They wanted to love him. They really did. The St. Louis Cardinals fans who showed up at Busch Stadium for Game 3 of the National League Division Series did so with the mission of letting Matt Holliday know that they were willing to let bygones be bygones, to let his disappointing postseason play get lost in the Saturday night lights.
