Simulated crash aids training

Emergency responders Blake Webb (center) from the Highfill Fire Department and Dusty Meredith from the Cave Springs Fire Department carry Luke Dunn, 11, of Springdale to lay next to David Brinkley, 12, of Gentry as they participate Saturday in a full-scale emergency exercise that simulated a plane crash at Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport.
About 60 airplane crash actors milled about in a field Saturday morning memorizing their ailments. Most were spattered with fake blood. One boy carried a fake severed foot.
