Deluge floods streets, some local businesses

Sheryl Davis, Collier Drug Store greeting card merchant, inventories ruined greeting cards Friday morning after rain waters leaked through the Dickson Street store’s ceiling Thursday night. Thousands of cards were damaged during the thunderstorms Thursday night.
Reports of flooded streets kept local emergency responders busy Thursday night, though no serious injuries or damage was reported.
