Fayetteville Alderman Matthew Petty on Tuesday suggested to the City Council that an ordinance leaving the city’s property millage unchanged be delayed for two weeks so that other options can be considered, and he suggested a millage increase for economic development or other “investments” is worth considering. A headline and story in Thursday’s edition incorrectly suggested Petty had proposed the tax increase.
