Murphy Oil buys N.D. ethanol plant Murphy Oil Corp., the oil producer and refiner that operates Murphy USA filling stations at Wal-Mart Stores Inc., entered the biofuels production business with the purchase of a corn-based ethanol plant in Hankinson, N.D., for $92 million.
