Learning from an expert

Some high school students spent time with famous author James Patterson.

New York Times best-selling author James Patterson talked to area high school students and answered their questions about writing at the Rogers Public Library on Friday. Patterson was in northwest Arkansas promoting his two most recent novels, 'The Murder of King Tut' and 'Alex Cross's Trail.'

James Patterson, perhaps most known for his various crime novel series, is also an accomplished author of young-adult novels and has written a couple of nonfiction books as well. He's in northwest Arkansas this weekend as part of the "Conversations" program through the Rogers Public Library Foundation. The program hosts famous authors to meet with readers and to educate the young and old about the craft of writing.
