UA students in control of new Bentonville art gallery

niversity of Arkansas students have branched out from Fayetteville to downtown Bentonville for a "sweet opportunity." The University of Arkansas Student Gallery, known as sUgAR, recently opened a block off the Bentonville Square and is the first studentrun art gallery in the area, said Bethany Springer, a member of the UA art department. She said the students who came up with the acronym wanted it to be a catchy title, even if it was not in the order of the gallery name. The word "sugar" may have also had a small influence on the name since opening the gallery was a "pretty sweet opportunity" for the students, she said.
