JAYOTI BHATTACHARYYA, 42, of Little Rock, passed away on Nov. 25, 2009. She was born onSept. 9, 1967, in Jackson, Tenn., to Tarak Bhattacharyya and the late Dipti Bhattacharyya. She was of the Hindu faith. She was preceded in death by her mother.

She is survived by her father; her brother, Dr. Debasish Bhattacharyya of Madison, Wis.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

EDWARD BERRY DYER, age 87, of Jacksonville, formerly of Blytheville, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009. He was born July 30, 1922 to the late James B. Dyer and Ethel Scott Dyer in Jackson, Tenn.

He is also preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Virginia Dyer; son Hubert Wayne Kemp; two sisters; and three brothers.

He is survived by his daughters, Delores Medders of Hernando, Miss., and Patsy West of Blytheville; his sons, David Dyer (Teressa) of Jacksonville and Richard Kyle of Blytheville; sister, Sarah Nimmo of Jackson, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, along with many other family members and friends.

A time of visitation is scheduled for 1 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30, 2009 with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009 at Thomas Funeral Chapel with interment scheduled for 3 p.m. at Dogwood Cemetery in Blytheville.

BARBRA DAY GRIFFIN, 71, of Little Rock, went to be with her Lord on Friday, Nov. 27, 2009. She was born on March 6, 1938, in Springfield, Mo., a daughter of the late Raymond and Essie Marie Burtin Day. She was a member of First Christian Church of Little Rock. She was a secretary for Graham Engineering and Director of the Food Pantry at her church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Edsel Day, and her stepmother, Doris Day.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Skippy Griffin; one son, David Griffin of Rochester, N.Y.; and one daughter, DeeDee Baldwin and her husband, Phil, of Arkadelphia, Ark. She was Nana to three grandchildren, Blake Baldwin, Allie Baldwin and Clark Baldwin of Arkadelphia, Ark. She was also survived by five sisters, Dorothy Goodwin of Springfield, Mo.; Daunis Holloway of Little Rock, Ark.; Peggy Day Lee ofSpringfield, Mo.; Mary Shepherd of Savannah, Mo., and Ramona Willig of Collinsville, Okla.; three nieces, seven nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel, (501) 224-8300, with Reverend Kevin Robbins officiating. Interment will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Blake Baldwin, Clark Baldwin, Mark Ulmer, Matthew Ulmer, Bob Wright, and Bill Godfrey. CHRIS KELLER, 47, of North Little Rock died on Nov. 25, 2009,of brain cancer. Chris was born on April 5, 1962, in St. Louis, Mo. He graduated from Northeast High School and was a graduate of Hendrix College in Conway. Chris had a successful careeras a homebuilder and leaves behind a legacy of beautiful homes. Chris was very kindhearted and trustworthy and could always find humor in any situation. He was a loving husband, father and son who always considered family his top priority.

Chris is survived by his wife of 25 years, Dana Bell Keller; his son and daughter, Clayton and Caroline; his mother and stepfather, Sue and Herman Shirley; our sweet and loving friend, Holly Trotta; his aunt, Mary Kay Puff (Chuck); two sisters-in-law, Gigi Schoenstein (Bobby) and Gina Eason (Lonnie) and their families; stepsisters, Lynn Richards (Mark) and Dinah Yates (Mike) and their families.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at Lakewood United Methodist Church, North Little Rock, Fairway and Topf Avenue, at 6:30 p.m. Monday with the Reverends Cindy Henry Russell and Guy Whitney officiating.

LOLA FAYE SAMPLE WARRICK went to be with her Lord andSavior Nov. 27, 2009. She was a Baptist and a retired secretary from University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service. She loved reading, gardening, and spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis L. and Evy D. Sample; and her husband of nearly 50 years, A.W. “Bud” Warrick. SADIE LEE WEST of Jacksonville went to rest eternally on Nov. 25, 2009. She leaves behind one daughter, Brenda Taylor of Springfield, Mo.; grandchildren, Yolanda Green (Kenny), Vivian Taylor, Ravin Taylor, Epiphany Walker, Joseph Taylor (Tracy), Elaine Hughes and Renee Hughes; and several great-grandchildren. Sadie owned and operated a fullservice grocery store in Newport, Ark., for over 55 years. She was a leader and helped everyone in the community well into hereighties. She will be missed. CABOT - Lindy Earl Cook, 75, of Cabot died Saturday, Nov. 28,2009. He was born Jan. 2, 1934 in Cabot to the late Linwood Earl and Linnie Imo Skillern Cook. Mr. Cook was a lifelong cattleman and started a livestock sale barn in Cabot whenhe was 16 years old. He loved to work and also loved children and to help people. He was a member of Westside Church of Christ in Cabot. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cook was preceded in death by two brothers, Audrey and Billy Cook.

Mr. Cook is survived by his wife, Geraldine Diederich Cook; and by eight children, Sandy Cook Hunter and her husband, Troy; Vickie Williamson and her husband, Rocky; Faye Sexton; Gary Page and his wife, Diane; Carolyn Allen, Danny Page, Diane Talley and Lori Stidham; his sister, Sandra Cook Masterson; and his brother, Tom Cook, as well as 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren also survive him.

CABOT - Janet Kirkpatrick, age 57, of Cabot, Ark. passedaway on Nov. 26, 2009. Janet was born March 5, 1952 in Little Rock, Ark. She was preceded in death by her dad, William (Bill) Glover, her loving mom, Helen M. (Adcock) Glover.Janet is survived by her husband of 29 years, H.L. Kirkpatrick; her wonderful son, Christopher William Morden, and the pride and joy of her life beside her son, her granddaughter, Hayley Brooke Morden.

Janet worked for SWB and AT&T for a total of 27 years until her health forced her to retire. The last few years, Janet’s medical problems wouldn’t let her do the things she enjoyed, but she spent every minute she could with her granddaughter she loved her so much. Janet had a wonderful heart and loved helping anyone if there was a way. She will be missed by many, especially her family.

DE VALLS BLUFF - Roy Oliver Todd, 67, of De Valls Bluff passed away Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009. He was born June 8, 1942 to the late Ralph and Leila Todd.

Roy was a Baptist, retired farmer, and a truck driver. He was a member of the American Legion and a Vietnam War Veteran.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Virginia Guenther.

Roy is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ruby (Chapman) Todd; two children, Mark Todd and his fiancee, Amanda of Greenbrier and Rhonda Hampton (Sloan) of Stuttgart; two grandchildren, Ashlyn and Dylan Todd; one brother, Kit Todd and wife, Peggye of De Valls Bluff.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peppers Lake Cemetery.

EL DORADO - Reverend J.E. Points, age 88, of El Dorado died Saturday at Life Touch Hospice. Reverend Points was a Member of Ouachita Assembly of God Church and was a WWII Navy veteran. He is preceded in death by his wife Ina Leona Walker Points, one brother and two sisters.

Reverend Points is survived by his wife Mary Points of Camden, Ark.; four sons, Carl Rick Points and wife, Teresa of Columbia, Tenn., Donald E. Points and wife, Pat of Longview, Texas; JackieW. Points of Eagle Pass, Texas, and Johnny Points and wife, Vickie of Caddo Valley, Ark.; four daughters, Ina Joyce Blackburn of Linden, Texas; Gloria June Ables and husband, Tracy of Crossett, Ark.; Anita Reisdorff and husband, Bill of El Dorado, Ark., and Ginger Mumpower and husband, Kevin of Cookeville, Tenn.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and greatgreat-grandchildren.

EL DORADO - Betty West Wooley, born in El Dorado, Ark., Nov. 2, 1925, died peacefully at her home in El Dorado. She was the daughter of John Milton Warren and Maphis Cato Warren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Joann Warren Moreland, and she is survived by her daughter, Sydney West Murphy; her son-in-law, Michael Walker Murphy; her two grandsons, Michael Walker and Wade Warren Murphy; and her husband Preston Bruce Wooley. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, El Dorado.

Betty graduated from Centenary College, where she was a member of the Chi Omega sorority; she was a wife, mother and devoted friend. She was an avid bridge player and traveler. She will be missed by her many friends and her family.

Services will be at the First Methodist Church, El Dorado on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 10 a.m. Funeral arrangement will be handled by Young’s Funeral Directors. Honorary pallbearers will be: Richard Alewine, D.R. James, John Trimble and John Yocum.

MONTICELLO - Theodore Howard Totten, age 75, of Monticello passed away Saturday,Nov. 29, 2009, at the St. Vincent’s Hospital in Little Rock, Ark. Born May 28, 1934, in Wharton, W. Va., he was the son of the late John L. Totten and Cora Grayley Totten.

He was a retired U.S. Army Korean War Veteran having attained the rank of Sergeant First Class. After retiring from the U.S. Army, heworked for the State of Arkansas Department of Revenue. He was also a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Mr. Totten was preceded in death by four brothers, Lowell, Albert, Emery and Bob Totten; and three sisters, Myrtle Rafter, Beulah Kelly and Martha Nelson.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Betty Watts Totten of Monticello; one son, Kenneth Howard Totten and wife, Jennifer of St. Louis, Mo.; three brothers, Jack Totten and Amos Totten both of West Virginia, and John L. Totten Jr. of Florida; two grandsons, Chris and Andy Totten of St. Louis, Mo.; one granddaughter, Katey Totten of St. Louis, Mo.; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

MORRILTON - Edith Lamb Morrow, age 80, of Morrilton, Ark. passed away Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009. She was born July 18, 1929, in Adona, Ark., a daughter of William Sharp and Flora Ashley Sharp. She was a homemaker and member of Morrilton Christian Center.

Survivors include her son, Jimmy Lamb of Oklahoma; daughters, Debby Wright of Springfield, Charlotte Merrit and Janet Doolittle both of South Carolina; ten grandchildren and 24 greatgrandchildren.

PINE BLUFF - Ruby “Jewel” Horn Jones, age 97 of Pine Bluff passed away Monday at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. She was the widow of Rutledge Jones, a homemaker and a Baptist. SHIRLEY - George Joseph Reed, 68, of Shirley, Ark., passedaway Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at his home. He was born March 24, 1941, in Germany to the late Milton and Hedwig Groubauer Reed.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired after 22 years of service. He was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Aux Flotilla 15-8 southern region. He servedon the Fairfield Bay Volunteer Fire Department for a number of years before retiring. He has been an All-American Post Commander and All-State Post Commander of the V.F.W. Post 1968 of Lodi, Calif., in 1992-93., and a V.F.W. Life Member. He also belonged to and served with a number of other military and volunteer organizations. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife of 43 years, Una Belle Leathers Reed.

He is survived by his son, Carl Christopher Reed of Clinton, Ark.; two daughters, April Haislip (Tom Tyson) of Shirley, Ark., and Tamay Braden (Brad) of Lockeford, Calif.; six grandchildren, Amanda, Carl, Geddi, Heaven, Lillian and Quinnlin; three sisters, Joanne Matts (Duane) and Evelyn Stockwell of California, and Marion of Australia; three brothers, Jim Reed and Wayne Reed of Stockton, Calif., and E.Grant Reed of Oregon; sisterin-law, Gerry Pelton of Conway, Ark.; two nephews, Clyde Pelton and Terry Pelton; and many relatives and friends.

TUNICA, Miss. - John Seth Ross, age 24, of Tunica, Miss., formerly of Piggott, Ark., passed away Nov. 28, 2009, in Tunica, Miss., in an auto accident.

He was born April 4, 1985. He is survived by his parents Denise Bingham and husband Bill Bingham of Searcy, Ark., and Don Ross and wife Vicki Ross of Tunica, Miss.; one sister, Victoria Elizabeth Ross; and one brother, Eathan Robert Earl Ross both of Tunica, Miss.; three step-sisters, Stacy Southerland, Amy Dolan and Leslie Clegg; one step brother Devon Miller; his grandparents, Erma Jean Ross, Lloyd Brown, and R.L.
