Patricia McCalop of Boston, whose daughter Africa went into labor two weeks early on Thanksgiving, says she didn’t want the turkey to burn while helping her child deliver at home and had to split her time between the kitchen and her daughter, who delivered a 6-pound baby before paramedics arrived.
