ENGAGEMENT Sigmon-Kovacs

Maria Dawn Sigmon and John Caleb Kovacs, both of Baltimore, Md., plan to marry at 2 p.m. Jan. 2, 2010, at Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church in Baltimore.
The bride is the daughter of Cindy and Jim Sigmon of Rogers. She is the granddaughter of Louise McMichael of Rogers, the late Jack McMichael, Vada Sigmon of Berryville and the late Don Sigmon Sr.
She is a 2004 home school graduate and a 2007 graduate of Arkansas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish.
The groom is the son of Joyce and Stephen Kovacs of Harvey, La., and Kathy Kovacs of Robert, La. He is the grandson of Joyce and Ray Greene of Parma, Mo., Joan Ryan of Spotsylvania, Va., Anne Kovacs of Richardson, Texas, and the late Stephen Kovacs.
He is a 2007 graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art with a master’s degree in community art.
Both are serving in Baltimore under the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.
