BRIEFLY Class Focuses On Driver Safety

LifeSpring United Methodist Church will be hosting an AARP Arkansas Driver Safety Class from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Wednesday. Designed for drivers age 50 and older, this 4-1/2 hour format may qualify participants for savings on their automobile insurance premiums. Participants should check with their insurance agents for specifics.

A $14 fee to cover the cost of materials is required.

AARP members qualify for a $2 discount if they provide their membership card and membership number.

Terry Band Performs Dec. 8

The 17-piece Terry Band of Cave Springs will perform at 7 p.m.

Dec. 8 at Riordan Hall in BellaVista in honor of all veterans, particularly any Pearl Harbor survivors. Survivors and their families are encouraged to attend and be recognized by Stephen Gray, chief military aide to 3rd District Rep. John Boozman, RRogers.

The show is free, and refreshments will be available and served by the Bella Vista POA. The event is sponsored by Veterans Council of Northwest Arkansas.

Coats Off ered On Saturday

Coats of Many Colors, giving free winter coats to adults and children, is set for 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday.

The event will be at Southside Church of Christ, 919 S. Dixieland Road in Rogers.

A pancake breakfast also will be served.
