FAYETTEVILLE A man whose shooting spree grazed a pregnant teenager and forced a man to jump from a second-floor balcony was sentenced Wednesday to 20 years at the Arkansas Department of Correction.
Levan Hernton argued about girls with Lavaruo Anderson on Aug. 1, 2008. Later in the evening, Hernton walked up the stairs, approached Anderson as he talked with neighbors on the balcony of Sugartree Apartments on North Leverett Street and began shooting, authorities said.
Anderson, 24, bailed over the railing to avoid being shot and broke his leg.
One shot grazed the thigh of a 19-year-old woman on the balcony.
Hernton, 48, was given credit for 232 days jail time served.
