Concert Set For Monday

BENTONVILLE — The NorthWest Arkansas Community College Chamber Singers will have a concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Bentonville. Special guests for the program will be the University of Arkansas Childrens Choir under the direction of Candace Davis.

The concert is free, and the public is invited. For more information, call 619-4261.

Also, NorthWest Arkansas Community College will present a student jazz concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 10 in the Music Recital Hall on the second floor of Burns Hall on the main NWACC campus in Bentonville.

Tunes will be performed by NWACC students under the direction of Ben Harris, a guitar instructor at NWACC. There is no admission charge for this music event.

‘On Golden Pond’ Auditions Set

BENTONVILLE — Auditions for the Village Players’ production of on “On Golden Pond” will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 7, Dec. 9 and Dec. 10 at the NorthWest Arkansas Community College Student Center in room 108. Call-backs will be Dec. 14 at NWACC’s White Auditorium.

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Village Players perusal scripts will be available for a 48-hour checkout at Bella Vista library, Bentonville library or by calling Kathy Forbes at 273-5279. Tentative performance dates are Feb. 26-28 and March 5-7 at White Auditorium.

Tuba Event On Saturday

BENTONVILLE — A Tuba Christmas will be held Saturday. The event is for tuba and baritone players of all ages. They will perform traditional Christmas carols.

Registration is at 10 a.m. at the Bentonville High School band room. Rehearsal will be at 11 a.m. in the band room. The performance will be 2:30 p.m. at the Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers.

Santa Pictures Set

BENTONVILLE — The Bentonville Fire Department invites the public to have pictures taken with Santa Claus at Bentonville Fire Department Station No. 1 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Friday and Dec. 5.

Pictures will be $10, and will be available immediately on a CD. Proceeds will go toward the department’s statue fund to purchase and erect a statue on the grounds of Fire Station No. 1. Station No. 1 is at 800 S.W. A St.
