Donna Winzer

Donna Nell Smith Winzer, 51, of Bentonville, was born on Aug. 25, 1958, and died Nov. 24, 2009.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church of EI Dorado. She graduated EI Dorado High School in 1976, and attended the University of Arkansas and South Arkansas Community College. She moved to Springdale in 1995. She was an administrative assistant for CSI in Springdale, the Springdale Fire Department, the City of Bentonville, and Gaunt Engineering in EI Dorado.

Donna loved her family and her numerous cats and dogs. She was a very skilled artist and was always working on a project.

She is preceded in death by her father, Harold E. Smith Sr. of EI Dorado; grandparents, Hugh and Abby Ray of Springdale and Tommy and Thelma Smith of Wilton; nephew, Thomas Smith of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; and aunt, Melba Merchant of Texarkana.

She is survived by her husband, Stan Winzer; daughter and son-in-law Gina Lonigro Smith and Christopher Smith of Ardmore, Okla.; son and daughter-inlaw Drew and Edith Lonigro of Tulsa, Okla.; stepdaughter and stepson-in-law Guylene Winzer Head and Ronnie Head; granddaughter, Myranda Head; stepson, Stephen Winzer; mother and stepfather, June and Curtis Hornor of Springdale; brother, Harold E. Smith Jr. of Orlando, Fla.; beloved sister, Kay and brother-in-law Bayless Rowe of EI Dorado; nephews Michael Rowe and Benjamin Rowe; uncle and aunt, Ken and Beth Ray of Springdale; aunt and uncle, Martha and Joe Stevens of Canyon Lake, Texas; uncle, Curtiss Merchant of Texarkana; and many cousins.

Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the Rogers Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Davis off ciating. Burial will be in the Bluft Cemetery in Springdale.

Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.

Jack Larsen

SPRINGDALE — Jack Larsen passed away Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009.

Memorial service will be 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery and will be open to the public.

A retired World War II veteran, he served 22 years in the U.S. Navy. His distinguished military service included a career as a naval aviator. He flew missions in the South Pacific and in Korea. He achieved the rank of lieutenant commander and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his heroism.

Once retired from military service, Jack worked 20 years for the California State Board of Equalization as a tax representative supervisor. He retired from the state in 1982 and spent much of his retired life in Springdale, Ark. In 2005, Jack moved to Texas where he lived for the past four years.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Dorothy Delores Larsen of Highland Village; children, Carol Ann Diano of El Dorado, Calif., Don Fredrick Larsen of Houston, Jack Alan Larsen of Palm Desert, Calif., Gary Byron Larsen of Tucson, Ariz., and Tana Lynn Roche of Flower Mound; 10 grandchildren; and 13 greatgrandchildren.
