Bentonville Orchestra Boosters Slate Dinner, Auction

Supporters of Bentonville Orchestras, a parent booster club, will host the fifth annual Dinner, Silent Auction and Concert beginning at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the Bentonville High School south commons.
Concerts featuring orchestra students from Bentonville junior and senior high string orchestra classes will follow at the adjoining the Arend Arts Center at the high school.
Proceeds from the fundraiser help defray costs for Bentonville school orchestra students’ participation in regional and state competitions as well as providingsummer orchestra camp scholarships. The silent auction will be open from 5 to 7:25 p.m.
The dinner this year will be changed slightly, being served at two times, depending on the grade levels and is billed as “An Elegant Evening of Music and Tapas,” various dishes will be served “tapas” style,also known as a small plate format. Various food stations will be arrayed around the commons area. Junior high families are encouraged to dine beginning at 5 p.m. and then attend the Junior High Orchestra Concert at 6 p.m. in the adjacent auditorium. Senior High families should dine beginning at 6 p.m. andthen attend the Senior High Orchestra concert at 7:30 p.m. Dinner tickets are available from orchestra students for $10 each, or at the door. The concerts are free for those who do not wish to attend the dinners.
