BENTONVILLE The 22-year-old son of Rogers Mayor Steve Womack has pleaded not guilty to charge accusing him of selling methamphetamine.
Bentonville attorney Shane Wilkinson, who represents James Phillip Womack, entered the plea through paperwork instead of Womack appearing in person for Monday’s arraignment.
Womack is charged with delivery of a controlled substance, a class Y felony, which is punishable with a prison sentence ranging from 10 to 40 years or life.
He was arrested Sept. 25. According to a probable cause affidavit, police recorded a drug transaction for $600 between Womack and a confidential informant.
An omnibus hearing is slated for 8:30 a.m. Jan. 14.
He was released from custody on citation following his arrest.
