Charles Durian Walters

LOWELL — Charles Durian Walters, 72, of Lowell, died Nov. 21, 2009, at Northwest Medical Center-Springdale. He was born Feb. 25, 1937, in Refugio, Texas.

Charles served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a computer specialist for National Cash Register.

He was active within various community services.

He celebrated his life with Carol Walters of the home; three sons, Chris Walters, Perry Walters, Andrew Walters, all of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Michelle McDowell of Rogers and Kathy Layco of Gainesville, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Memorial services will be at a later date and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.

Justin Taylor Wilson

ROGERS — Justin Taylor Wilson, 18, of Rogers died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009. He was born April 29, 1991, in Rogers to Kim Wilson and Cheryl Nunley Wilson.

Survivors include his parents, Kim and Cheryl Wilson; a brother, Jason Wilson and wife Jennifer of Rogers; one sister, Faith Wilson of the home; grandparents Derkey and Judy Wilson and Wes and Marie Nunley; two nephews, Tippin and Andrew Wilson; and one niece, Corra Wilson. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.

Services for Justin will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Faith Christian Fellowship in Rogers with interment to follow at Pea Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel.

Brenda Kay Porter

SILOAM SPRINGS — Brenda Kay Porter, 60, of Siloam Springs died Nov. 20, 2009, at a local nursing care center. She was born Jan. 20, 1949, in Ohio to Raymond and Dorothy Hoy McClain.

She is survived by her significant other, Joe Brownell of the home; two daughters, Katrina Porter and Deidre Porter, both of Columbus, Ohio; a brother; three grandchildren.

No services are planned at this time.

Cremation arrangements are by Epting Funeral Home in Fayetteville.

John Onie Smith

SILOAM SPRINGS — John “Buck” Onie Smith, 77, of Siloam Springs died Nov. 20, 2009, at his home. He was born Dec. 25, 1931, in Summers to Earl William and Zylpha Augustine Gardisser Smith.

He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He worked as an air traffic controller in Tulsa, Okla., owned and operated Smith Service Company and was the Rogers County building inspector for five years.

Survivors include his wife, Ordeania Marge Hutchison Smith; a son, John Dean Smith of Bartlesville, Okla.; a daughter, Adara Lynn Rich and husband Dalton of Siloam Springs; two sisters, including Jenece Baker of Siloam Springs; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs.

Burial will follow in Weddington Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Judy Hamilton

FAYETTEVILLE — Judy Darlene Hamilton, 61, of Fayetteville, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at her home.

She was born March 19, 1948, at San Antonio, the daughter of Forrest Howard and Sibyl Nowlin Smith.

She was a licensed practical nurse for the Veterans Administration Medical Center. She was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the Womens Army Corps. She was a member of New Heights Church in Fayetteville.

She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Bill Hamilton; her children, Julie Ford and her husband Richard of Austin, Texas, Jill Weikel and her husband David of Bella Vista, Tom Schulte and his wife Candice of Springdale, Joanna Froemsdorf and her husband Jake of Orlando; stepchildren, Scott Hamilton and his wife Hestia of Broken Arrow, Okla., Jami Thomason and her husband Todd of Harrison; three brothers, Eddie Smith and his wife Pauline of Manvel, Texas, Forrest Smith Jr. and his wife Ingrid of San Antonio, Rodger Smith and his wife Betsy of Conway; 15 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25 at Calvary Baptist Church.

Burial will be in the National Cemetery, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Moore’s Chapel.
