EUREKA SPRINGS: Black Bass Lake dam crumbling, hazardous

Engineer Richard Dee Purkeypile points at an 8-foot section of the Black Bass Lake dam, which was added in 1915. Mortar from the 1915 addition to the dam built in 1894 has been washing away, causing the dam to leak.
Limestone blocks have been tumbling from the dam at Black Bass Lake to the ground below.
