Posted: November 22, 2009 at 2:52 a.m.

— Eastbound lanes of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard between Willow and Wood avenues will be closed beginning Monday so the city of Fayetteville Water and Sewer Division can replace a water line.

The closing will continue through Dec. 31.

Work on the project will begin at 7:30 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. daily.

Detours around Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard will be required to promote safety for both residents and city crews. Accommodations will be made for local and emergency traffic.
