Gerald Dean Downum

BELLA VISTA — Gerald Dean Downum, age 85, of Bella Vista, died Nov. 20, 2009, at Concordia Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born June 5, 1924, in Springdale, the son of Forrest J. and Una Jones Downum.

He was a member of Spring Creek Missionary Baptist Church and a retired plumber. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was injured at Omaha Beach for which he received the Purple Heart medal.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by one son, Dean Downum, of Long Beach Calif.; two daughters: Carol Dalley of Long Beach, Calif., and Nancy Burks of Grants Pass, Ore.; one brother and sister-in-law, Gene Downum and Fern of Springdale,; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Spring Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. David Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Creek Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.

There is no public visitation.

Pallbearers will be Steven Burks, Brian Dalley, Robert Dalley, Carl Lange, Kim Downum and Nathan Sharp. Honorary pallbearers will be Concordia Care Workers.

Justin Taylor Wilson

ROGERS — Justin Taylor Wilson, 18, of Rogers died Nov. 20, 2009.  He was born April 29, 1991, in Rogers to Kim Wilson and Cheryl Nunley Wilson.

Survivors include his parents, Kim and Cheryl Wilson; a brother, Jason Wilson and wife Jennifer of Rogers; one sister, Faith Wilson of the home; grandparents Derkey and Judy Wilson and Wes and Marie Nunley; two nephews, Tippin and Andrew Wilson; and one niece, Corra Wilson.  He is also survived by many other family members and friends.

Services for Justin will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Faith Christian Fellowship in Rogers with interment to follow at Pea Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel.
