Nashville Hammers Prairie Grove

Nashville quarterback Cole More passed for 334 yards and two touchdowns to lead the second-ranked Scrappers to a 49-12 win over Prairie Grove, setting up a Class 4A showdown next week with top-ranked Shiloh Christian.
Shiloh defeated De Queen 56-35 in second-round action Friday. Nashville (12-0) plays at Shiloh (10-1) next Friday.
The Scrappers had their way against Prairie Grove (5-7), building a commanding 42-6 halftime cushion. The Tigers, who upset Dumas last week, could not come up with the same magic this time against a program that has set the mark in Class 4A for the past decade.
Despite the lopsided score, the Tigers did at least strike a little fear into the Scrappers when Cole Rogers caught a 33-yard pass from Chad Austin to pull the Tigers within 7-6.
It was all Nashville after that.
Moore completed 16 of his 23 passes, with touchdowns going to Paul Morrow (40 yards) and Devencio Hawthorn (25 yards). Morrow caught 6 passes for 178 yards and the score on the night.
Hawthorn also scored twice on runs of 6 and 5 yards, although the Scrappers managed only 30 yards rushing.
Nashville’s other touchdowns were by Byron Wesson (24-yard interception return), Josh Wiley’s 1-yard run and Allen Adams’ 9-yard.
The Tigers added a late 12-yard scoring run.
