Medicare Part D was supposed to have a "trigger" (like some keep discussing for the public option) to keep prices down, but since 2003 it has never "kicked in"... The reason for this is that the pharmaceutical companies can "play" with their prices to make sure that it NEVER kicks in...

We need to let Health and Human Services bid on prescription drugs on behalf of ALL Americans... THIS is the only way to lower the cost of prescription drugs... Canada does it on behalf of all Canadians but, here, we only talk being allowed to BUY from Canada...??? Why can't our government negotiate drug prices here at home...??? This is the only logical thing to do, but it is fought tooth and nail by Big Pharma.. Let our Congressional delegation know that this is what we want and need..!!!
