Shields clears up earlier remarks

UALR Coach Steve Shields didn’t mean what he said Tuesday. Or at least not how some attempted to interpret a comment in Tuesday’s Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. He wrote on his Web site, www.steveshields.com, that he wanted to “clear up any misunderstandings.” “My quote in the paper was, ‘Nobody cares.
