BENTON COUNTY Sandy Lou Beebe
ROGERS — Sandy Lou Beebe, 55, of Rogers went to heaven Nov. 18, 2009, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers.
Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Francis Beebe; her mother, Clara Smith; her stepfather, Elbert Smith; one brother, Leon Beebe; three sisters, Brenda Beebe, Glenda Beebe and Alice Cannady; her only child, Lonnie Duane Mortensen; a nephew, Larry Martin; and a niece, Rosetta Swadley.
Sandy is survived by her lifetime mate, Curtis Mortensen of the home; two sisters, Pat Martin of Elm Springs and Leona Stephens of Rogers; two brothers, Jack Beebe and Edward Beebe, both of Rogers; 13 nieces and nephews; and 22 great-nieces and nephews.
Sandy enjoyed big family gatherings, visiting, writing letters and cards and just being surrounded by her loved ones. She loved collecting dolls and Elvis memorabilia. Celebrating holidays was a favorite of hers. She decorated for every holiday known to man. Sandy left all who knew her with many beautiful, fond memories.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Rogers Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Benton County Funeral Home (306 N. Fourth St., Rogers).

Jack E. Lawson
HARRISON — The Rev. Jack E. Lawson, 88, Harrison, died Nov. 17, 2009, in Harrison. The Rev. Lawson was born April 10, 1921, in Bentonville, son of Gilbert T. and Dorothy D. (Mayfield) Lawson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; two brothers; and a granddaughter.
The Rev. Lawson was a World War II veteran. Bro. Jack was a pastor for 42 years in the Benton, Carroll and Boone County area. After retiring from over a decade at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Harrison, he was often found supplying in area pulpits in the North Arkansas Baptist Association. He began in the ministry at Central Avenue Baptist Church in Bentonville as a deacon before surrendering to his pastoral call. His love for the church and Jesus Christ was only surpassed by his love for his family and friends.
He found joy in the little things of life, children, smiles and friendly conversation. Bro. Jack’s convictions never wavered as to the foundation of the Bible and its impact on a person’s life.
The Rev. Jack E. Lawson is survived by his wife, Lucille (Harris) Lawson, of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Jack E. and (Mary) Lawson Jr. and Thomas Lee (Patricia) Lawson, all of Harrison; his daughter and son-in-law, Penny (Dean) VanLaningham, of Whitesboro, Texas; grandchildren, Deanna (Dan) Hunter and Daniel Pate, Lanette Williams and Joel, Jana (John) Harrison and Jonathan, Thomas Lawson, Rebekah (Eric) Carnley and Elizabeth Lawson of the home; his sisters, Geraldine Scott of Bentonville, Irene Smith of Springdale, and Shirley Holliday of Bentonville; his brothers, the Rev. Bill Lawson of Grandview, Wash., and Jim Lawson of Decatur; his brother-in-law and his wife, Wayne (Gladys) Harris, of Centerton.
Visitation 6 to 7, today, Nov. 20, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home with memorial service at 7 following visitation at Roller-Christeson. Graveside service 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21st, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rogers, with the Rev. Clyde Noakes and the Rev. Dean VanLaningham officiating. Family and friends are pallbearers.

Margarita Ramirez
SPRINGDALE — Margarita Barbosa Ramirez, 38, died Nov. 18, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. She was born May 17, 1971, in Mexico City, Mexico, to Jesus Isidro Barbosa and Ma Guadalupe Ramirez.
She was a member of the St. Raphael’s Catholic Church and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Juvencio Rodriguez; two sons, Francisco and Horacio Rodriguez, both of Springdale; three daughters, Denise Rodriguez, Jimena Rodriguez and Margarita Rodriguez, all of Springdale; two brothers, Josea Barobsa of Springdale and Fernando Barbosa of Rogers; three sisters, including Juana Barbosa of Springdale; and one grandchild.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at St. Rapheal’s Catholic Church in Springdale. Burial will follow in the Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale.
