Arrests
Fayetteville
Janice Wallace, 52, of 1 N. School in Fayetteville was arrested Tuesday in connection with felony forgery. She was being held in the Washington County Detention Center without bond Wednesday.
Springdale
Carlos Meadath, 52, 4576-B CB Place, Springdale, was arrested Tuesday in connection with felony possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to manufacture methamphetamine. The arrest came after a fire at Meadath’s home from an alleged methamphetamine laboratory.
Firefighters and police officers responded to a 911 call at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday to find smoke coming from Meadath’s duplex with fire showing around a garage door.
The fire was called under control at 10:12 p.m. Two people who lived in the B-side of the duplex were outside when firefighters arrived. Two people were evacuated from the A-side of the duplex. No one was injured, said Duane Atha, fire chief.
Meadath remained in the Benton County Jail Tuesday awaiting a bond hearing.
Washington County Sheriff’s Office
Stanley McPheeters, 50, of 12202 Rutherford Road in Gentry was arrested Wednesday in connection with felony false evidence of title/registration. He was being held in the Washington County Detention Center without bond Wednesday.
Joshua Lawson, 26, of 19094 Highway 59 S. in Evansville was arrested Tuesday in connection with felony breaking or entering (building) and theft of property. He was being held in the Washington County Detention Center without bond Wednesday.
Fire
Avoca
A fire destroyed a home near Avoca on Tuesday evening, Benton County Fire Marshal Will Hanna said. The cause is under investigation, but a wood stove is the suspected origin. A neighbor saw 10120 Gramling Road on fire and reported it. Homeowners Jeff and Marleen Griger and two children were not home, Hanna said.
Accident
Bentonville
A Volvo and a Ford F-350 pulling a trailer collided Wednesday afternoon where Southeast Walton Boulevard intersects with Southeast Medical Center Parkway, Bentonville Fire Department spokesman B.J. Hyde said. The driver of the Volvo was taken to a hospital with injuries, Hyde said. The trailer was carrying fluid and 30 gallons of diesel and oil leaked from it. The Fire Department used absorbent pads to soak up the spill. A contractor came to properly dispose of them, Hyde said.

Brooke Wall reported Tuesday a burglary at 4303 Arlington Drive. Jewelry was reported missing.
Springdale
Amanda Whitney reported Tuesday a breaking or entering at 4845 Stonecrest.
Brian Taylor reported Tuesday a breaking or entering at 4342 Ravenwood.
Police responded to an alarm at All Types Industrial, 1215 ESI Drive, to find someone entered the building illegally.
Tracy Holt reported Monday a theft at 305 S. 48th
An employee of Kum and Go, 2351 W. Sunset, reported Monday the theft by another employee of money from a purse.
