ACKER SAYS RESPONSIBILITIES BECAME ‘TOO MUCH OF A BURDEN’

Lincoln Police Chief Jim Acker decided to retire during a Friday meeting with Mayor Rob Hulse and Assistant Police Chief Russell Morphis has been named interim chief, officials said Tuesday.
