Bentonville Tickets To Go On Sale

BENTONVILLE -- Bentonville High School's Athletic Department will begin selling tickets Thursday for the Tigers' home playoff game against Fort Smith Southside.

Tickets will be sold at the Tiger Athletic Complex from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to noon Friday. Tickets also will be sold in the commons area of BHS North from 11:35 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

Tickets are $5 for adults and students. Only Arkansas Activities Association passes will be honored for admission. Gates open at 6 p.m. Tickets also will be available at the gate Friday night.

Free Thanksgiving Dinner Planned

SILOAM SPRINGS -- A free Thanksgiving dinner will be held beginning at noon Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Siloam Springs.

Participants can eat at the church, or carry out their meals. Deliveries are also available.

First United Methodist Church is at 325 E. Twin Springs St. Parking is available near the entrance on Twin Springs Street.

POA Board Seats Available

BELLA VISTA -- Property Owners Association members have until Dec. 18 to turn in a petition for one of three seats on the Property Owners Association's Board of Directors.

Petitions may be obtained from the association's Corporate Secretary Kathy Ferguson at the Bella Vista Country Club, 98 Clubhouse Drive, according to a POA news release.

A property owner must collect 50 signatures of members in good standing in order to have his or her name placed on the association's ballot.

The three-year board terms begin in May 2010. Candidates will be announced at the Jan. 21, 2010, board meeting.

Convenience Center Hours Change

BENTONVILLE -- Benton County's convenience center hours have changed.

The center, which provides county residents a place to dispose of trash not normally collected by trash haulers, will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays, or until the trash containers are filled. The center will be closed the Saturdays following Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

The entrance to the convenience center is on Melissa Drive, off "I" Street in Bentonville.
