PUBLIC VIEWPOINT Health System Grows Like Cancer

Posted: November 17, 2009 at 3:01 a.m.

While controlled capitalism is a progressive societal force it has a dangerous evil twin that is predatory capitalism.

Compare normal cell growth with uncontrolled predatory growth known as metastasized cancer. One supports life the other ends it.

The financial securities and health-care insurance industries no longer promise security and health but rather guarantee financial ruin and wealth-care for their execrably wealthy CEO’s. The U.S. must halt this cancerous boom-bust growth that can only end in fascism and death of the country.

Other more civilized nations have long recognized this.

The decaying U.S. educational system has prevented most of its citizens from seeing the problems with uncontrolled growth. The other nations’ public health and education programs have earned their citizens’ appreciation for decades (quite to the contrary ofreports by U.S.-CEO supported FOX-noise.) We must pass a Medicare-For-All public program and re-establish pre-Reagan-Bush controls on the financial sectors.

Fayetteville GET BEHIND HEALTH CARE Every progressive nation in the world has a national health-care program that successfully cares for its citizenry. Our great country needs to provide a national healthcare program for all citizens of the United States. Selfish resistance to passage of the National Health Care Act is indicative of lawmakers being paid off in various ways by medical suppliers and medical service sources for selfish reasons.

This great country of ours needs to be united and not divided in the passage of this bill providing all citizens and legal immigrantswith health care.

Bentonville THANKS TO THE TROOPS To all men and women who are serving and have served in the armed forces of the United States of America:

Thanks to all of you for serving our country. May God bless all of you and the good old United States of America!

Two of my brothers and I served in the European theater in Germany and Italy. I had seven nephews from the same family who served in the armed forces. They were our sister’s sons. They all served in combat.

Again, thanks to all of you for serving our country!
