Azam al-Sadat Farahi, wife of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, spoke in a rare public appearance at a Rome forum on the eve of a U.N. summit on world hunger and reportedly touted Iran as an example, saying her country’s system, following religious teachings, guarantees food security for all families.
