Rebuilding Together Receives $50,000 Grant

— Rebuilding Together of Northwest Arkansas has received a $50,000 donation from members of the Wal-Mart US Finance Team and $13,000 from the Wal-Mart Associates.

The Wal-Mart US Finance Team presented the $50,000 check under the Local Choice Grant Program for roofing repairs and replacement for low-income elderly, disabled and families with children throughout Benton and Washington counties.

A $13,000 check was given to the organization from the Wal-Mart Associates Volunteerism Always Pays program to further aidin the assistance of rebuilding homes for elderly and disabled homeowners, and low-income homeowner families with children. These funds represent the involvement of more than 160 Wal-Mart associates on Rebuilding Day.

The organization also recently hosted a 5K Run/ Walk on Halloween with race organizational support from Wal-Mart Logistics and Transportation. Presenting sponsors for the event were AT&T and Wal-Mart Logistics. Event sponsors were Bank of Arkansas, Benefit Bank and Wells Fargo Advisers.

Rebuilding Day 2010 will be held April 17.
